Diana served as Co-Chair and Moderator for the digital assets legislation and regulation panel at the ABA Banking Law Committee annual meeting. The panel discussed how the U.S. banking regulators, SEC, CFTC, the Administration, and Congress are approaching the future of digital asset regulation and legislation. They reviewed highlights from 2025 and what to anticipate in 2026 for stablecoins and market structure. Topics included the Treasury Department ANPR on GENIUS Act implementation, FDIC NPR on payment stablecoin issuance, OCC interpretive letters and conditional approvals for national trust banks, Federal Reserve Policy Statement on permissible activities for state member banks, state law, SEC Crypto Task Force, CFTC developments, and pending market structure legislation.
